Black-Owned Businesses in Washington D. C.

Black-Owned Businesses in Washington D. C.

As we sit still during this pandemic, I have realized that I go to D.C. often and never write about some of my favorite places to eat at. Of course, I had to focus on Black owned businesses. It’s only right. Check out some of my favorite spots to dine at. You can click on the images to see if these businesses are open during the pandemic for curbside pickup. Enjoy!

Broccoli City Bar

Broccoli City Bar is a pizza bar, but it is also a creative space for gatherings and networking. Broccoli City Festival has a lot of events here during the festival season. This is located near Howard University’s campus.

Half Smoke

Half Smoke is down the street from the Broccoli City Bar (walking distance). I really enjoyed the whole vibe here. The service was awesome and they played all of my favorite songs. I ordered the “Build Your Own Flatbread.” They have a 123 step process on how to make it. I ordered the BBQ chicken flatbread and a 1/2 bourbon drink.

The Bar- Milk & Honey

Milk and Honey is so good that I went here twice in one weekend. Keep in mind they have more than one location. The drinks and the food are will have you coming back for more. Do not judge me. lol I ordered the lobster and grits and their waffles. On my second visit, I ordered the french toast with eggs, bacon, and a mimosa.

The Park at 14th

This location is good for brunch, happy hour, and dinner. Happy hour was so crowded and the music was good as always. I had a mix foods that I wanted to order. I tried the atlantic salmon with vegetables, jerk wings, mac and cheese. Drinks are amazing as well!

Carolina Kitchen

Honestly, everything on this menu is good. They have so many choices to choose from. This is the place to go if you want good southern food. I order something different everytime I go.
